Job Prospects

I'm sort of amused. Since I left my old job on Monday, I've had three people calling me and they are interested in me. Two are in my field, and one is a "Crap Job" position that I plan on taking to make sure there is still some money coming in while I'm looking for a new career

shit job sounds good. Just don't do what i did and stay at the shit job for 5 years (well mine isn't a total shit job but pritty close)

Ahhh... see you got sucked in.

I'm going to be using it as a break from the grind of the Human Services field. I'll probably keep it till after Christmas so that I can use my 10 percent on Christmas prezzies.

I just think it'll be nice to not have a job that I'm so wrapped up in that I forget about everything else. Which often use to happen with my old one and was NOT healthy.

yeah i got sucked in - I've known my boss nad his daughter since I was 18 (and I'm 38 now) and his wife is dieing. So yeah - totaly sucked in. I've become the defacto preist (I come from a long line of Unitarian ministers) and all 4 emploies come to me to talk about 'stuff' - so even though my job is technicly shipping boxes - it's... well everything else too.

Watch out for that - it's easy to fall into that.

Even if you are just doing retail.

Ahh... Yep, and if you've known them forever, its even harder. Specially if you're known for being a good listener and stuff. But, at the same time, even though its "just shipping" It does make you feel as if you're making a difference to someone because you do have those connections.
