New Directions, Same Problems

I will "officially" have a new blog soon. As some of you might know, Josh bought me the domain bevinaguero.com, and I plan on starting a website. So far, I've already set up a WordPress blog and a Gallery for all of my photos. Definitely! It'll be nice to have some readers, but on the same token I'm nervous to know that people are actually reading it, haha. It should be fun though! :-)

PS: Ty figured out how to export LJ entries to the blog ... I don't know how he did it (I think it was involved), but I could ask him, if you like.

Yeah! You see, here's the thing:

Technically you're supposed to be able to export your LJ into an XML file easy-peasy, and then WordPress imports said XML file with no problems whatsoever. I haven't personally been able to get it to work though, because LJ and my Safari browser weren't playing happy. When I tried to export it with FireFox though, it -seemed- to work, which is a good thing for the most part. The other factor here is that I think I want all of my archived LJ entries to be private on my journal, but I don't want to make you register to read my blog, nor do I want to have to enter special code into every entry just to make it "dissappear" for everyone but me. Josh is going to look online for a plugin that'll allow me to "hide" a whole category, so I can just mark LJ entries as "Archive" and be done with it. :-) Which, of course, means that it's no use to me to be able to put LJ entries into WordPress if I don't have a way to keep them private from people ( ... )

Yeah, I only have one entry, so far. And that particular layout doesn't appear to support Blogroll links ... so I'm probably going to change it ... again. Heh. I can't seem to settle on a style.
