The "Strike"

May 23, 2006 22:09

As most of you may be aware, there is currently an "Internet conflict" happening all around us. And this conflict? A dispute over the simple matter of individual choice, expression, and liberty. So yes, the webdesigner strike, a now disputed and controversial action-an action I agreed to and let take place not because of my own frustration, but ( Read more... )

I'm going to be different. profoundity May 25 2006, 19:13:41 UTC
Usually, I would say "sorry about that," yet, in a situation like this, I'm glad that people are making an effort to stand up to the thieves of the internet.

I can't really say sorry because this world of ours isn't exactly what you'd call perfect. There will always be thieves, liars, backstabbers, and whatnot. All we can do is acknowledge those things and try to confront them because it's impossible for anything to be just right.

Hopefully, with the advent of this strike, the thieves will figure out that there is not much to gain from their dishonorable actions. Though the entire population of thieves may not see this, I hope that at least some will as a result of this strike.

Good luck to all of you!

'Rika.

I don't know. Personally, if I were you, I'd just close down the site completely. However, you really enjoy helping people with your graphics, so a strike is the next best thing. Good going, yo. And I hope the asstards die down at least a bit. Good luck! ♥

Wow... Rykea can definately write.

What angers me is the fact that nobody's listening to us and assuming they know what we're doing when they don't even pay attention to what we say... And it frustrates me that everyone keeps blaming Akutenshi because they're hosting the strike page.

Thank-you. ^^

But yes, the same things anger me. And, even though it is frustrating to have Aku blamed, I believe Kyuu and I are capable enough of depending our own reputation, pride and rights. Thanks for the sentiment though-it means a lot.

Hey, I think it's great thay you guys have given yourself a voice in the world of the Internet. It must be pretty frustrating to discover many people who have stolen your stuff, etc. The only thing is, I think the strikers were a bit unprepared for all the nasty comments and such.

Other than that you guys are awesome. Don't EVER let anything get you down. ^_________^

Thank-you very much for your kind comments. And yes I agree; I do think the strikers were unprepared for the negative responses and reactions they got to their methods. All in all, I believe they handled it well enough despite their shock, and thanks again. ^^
