I saw this, too, and I love the whole subject. But you are correct, the image looked kind of neat but didn't make much sense and I gave up after awhile.

The flat side-by-side images of baryonic matter and dark matter did a better job of communicating to me the scaffolding idea, which I guess was the main point of the release, and a neat concept that I had not heard of before. :)

Hi

I would just be interested to know how you would describe a scale reference to the picture. Speaking for myself, i have no concept of time or area in space and as for the reference "Each panel represents an area of sky nine times the angular diameter of the full Moon.” that could certainly be decieving to alot of people. I think most people could envisage the Earth as a scale, so how would that look in reference to the photo?
