I have a slight conflict. In September I began working again on a certain long-standing project that has ofetn evolved over the years, the plot arc was largely developed and the first few chapters were written out to get an idea of the style of the narrative and where it was going

Yep you can't act like the past didn't happen, you incorporate it into the present.

And that's how I justify using the same screen name since 1996 and really not changing a damn thing in a lot of places.
