"Have you ever seen the real blue sky?"

Before I get into this post, I want to say that on March Fifth, I will see Dar Williams in concert for the fifth time.  Awesome.  Actually, I'm seeing her at one particular club for the third time, which is kind of funny.  Maybe this time she'll ask for requests and I'll be able to shout out the title of the painfully obscure Honesty Room anti- ( Read more... )

I love the first episode, but it unfortunately suffers from that really annoying directorial trick of putting what everyone says up as text after they say it. It's used in Lain as well, but in the two episodes I saw the director used it to express what people weren't saying, whereas here he seems to use it almost at random and it's always what characters just said, verbatim.

Episode two is one of the more disturbing episodes of anything I've seen.

Episodes 6 - 7. . .well.

I think I've said something about most of the other episodes.

Somebody really needs to license the movies (and episode 0). I'm sort of torn over which one I'd want more, as one is an interesting story but the other one deals with Kino I.

ALSO, WANT NOVELS NOW.

Blind buying anime is fun! Not really recommended, but fun!

Yeah, I noticed that, but it didn't really bother me so much, although I don't doubt that it would had it continued.

^^; I don't think we've talked about the last episode. What did you think of it?

XD Amusing, amusing video, and yeah, "Coliseum" really is a lot more action-oriented than the rest of the series, which is surprising.

Which deals with Kino I? The movies?

Come to think of it, I bought the first disc of Haibane Renmei blind, too . . .

The last episode is a good episode, if a tad. . .predictable, I guess.

One movie is a story about Kino in a town (The Land of Sickness -For You-), the other one touches on Kino I (or rather, someone who might be his mother). Episode 0 is a special ten-minute episode about a city building a tower.

The only biiig drawback to blind buying (aside from the obvious) is glitchy discs, because if you develop a backlog then you can run into stuff too old to return. Not that that just happened to me with episode three of Angelic Layer or anything.

BITTER BITTER BITTER.

(Edit: ahahah, the reviews on the Uranium are pretty funny.)

Yeah, though I found a lot of the episodes to be predictable. ^^; It just never bothered me, I guess. This show was just too good for predictability to matter to me.

Ah, understood. Now I am deeply, deeply curious. I hope they're picked up, at some point.

If it helps, I'm pretty sure you can watch that episode on Crunchyroll. It's irritating that it doesn't work on the DVD, but at least you can see it! ^^

Oh, man, I know. Except for the ones that try to be realistic. Those just scare me, as I'm deeply afraid of radiation poisoning, which is weird, because while that's a viable fear, it certainly isn't a practical one . . .

Anyway, I love the, "And now my teeth are permanently white, but the giant mutant ants are a pain' review. The product forum is even better.
