Send me on a mission!

Nov 13, 2006 18:27

In my travels around the world I've been involved in a coup, been in a motorcycle crash in the middle of rainforests, had an entire army platoon point their weapons at me, attempted to paddle a kayak across the ocean, been kicked out of Canada, an illegal immigrant in Burma, survived earthquakes, typhoons, tornadoes, wandered through North Korea's attack tunnels, helped save a tsunami-ravaged island from greedy entrepeneurs, and had more adventures than I could ever list.

And that was all before I ever started carrying a camera.

The Ryan Estrada Expeditions, the weekly adventure video podcast, is set to launch next year, but here's how you can help now.

I'm kicking off the first season with a massive, improvised 16 day road trip across India (and wherever else the road takes me) between Dec 16th and January 1st.

But I need a mission. When I did my 168 hour comic, I set up a special e-mail inbox where people could send suggestions, which I opened and read the moment I started the clock. This road trip is going to run the same way.

Send your mission ideas to expedition@ryanestrada.com

Think of the kind of missions you might send Indiana Jones, or Robert Langdon, or Tin Tin on. Something that will take me to numerous locales, where I'll come across a number of colorful characters and wind up in a number of wacky situations. I'll most likely choose the mission that's the most open to interpretation, and isn't tied to a specific place. But send whatever ideas you have. (I will most likely choose other missions for future episodes) I'll keep the inbox locked tight until just before I leave, and then choose the mission I'll go on.

Send as many suggestions as you wish, you have a month.
