Application Frustrations

This coming Friday I will have had my pharmacy license for exactly two weeks. So far I have sent out nearly twenty different applications to hospital stretching the length of California. How many responses have a I gotten? 1.5

It's a cruel world, I'll give you that. Last time I was looking for a job in summertime (which was like...back in 2007), I sent out hella applications and didn't hear back from anyone. Of course, you should technically be more employable than me, but like that per diem position shows, they're liking to cut those corners and bend the truth like the Incredible Hulk twisting a pretzel out of rebar.

I know the frustration of wanting to get that job - oh, how exquisitely familiar I am with it - but I think if you're champing at the bit too much, you might be more likely to make a decision you'd regret in the long run (whether about employment, or about spending money you don't have). Of course, recent graduates can't be choosers in almost any discipline; at least not lately, but don't let that force your hand. Going back to CVS would be like if Luke really did join Vader to rule the galaxy as father and son. Except Luke would end up mopping the floors of the death star stuck in a bad contract deal
