I don't tell you very much, my dear Livejournal, because there's never very much to tell. Today I cancelled my subscription to World of Warcraft, not because I had a crippling addiction to it, but because I got it in January, played maybe 40 hours of it, and never bothered again after that. I mean, really, who gets offended that there are foreign languages?
Boggles the mind, doesn't it? They had a flame war like this in the MX a little while back (I know, I know, it's the MX) and I just couldn't understand why it's even an issue with some people.

I have seen almost the exact same exchange on the train more than once. I guess our line has lots of Chinese people and lots of extreme bogans so it's exceptionally prone. It makes me angry that people think they own public spaces. I had a (sensitive, intelligent, well educated) friend in uni who once whispered to me 'But sometines when you hear people on the bus talking a different language, don't you just think 'Why can't you just speak English when you're on the bus at least?'.'

Human beings are dickwads and there is no point to them!

But ... it's not like we are supposed to listen to other people's conversations anyway? It's not an argument that I can even pretend to understand.
