Publication #3

I just got word that my third article has been published.

Sesler A, Conrad JL, Olin BR. Serum tears and the pharmacist's role in identifying and meeting therapeutic needs. Alabama Pharmacy 2006;39:16-17.The journal is not as prestigious those in which I've had previous publications. But, the article was of very limited scope and the lead author ( Read more... )

Congratulations on the paper!

While it is rewarding to be published, now that you are not academic, there is no pressure to publish, is there? Unless you want to.

I personally like research, but dont like the pressure to publish.

That is correct. I have no pressure from my current employer to publish. However, I may still want to do so, just to keep my professionally competitive edge, should I decide I want to get back into academia at some point or do some consulting/speaking.
