Coachella

So, I'm finally getting a chance to post about Coachella, after a couple days of climbing out from under missed e-mails at work.

First, I have to thank djmattconsola for buying tickets and then not being able to go. Otherwise, I would not have gone. And, I'm so glad that I did. But, I hope Matt likes his t-shirt.

Sounds like a mixed bag. Sorry to hear that Madonna and Oakenfold sucked. I've listened to P.O. over the years on shoutcast and thought his stuff was okay (not great, but I wouldn't say it sucked.) I've been trying to find examples of good techno/house music, and he was the closest thing I could find at the time. After coming into contact with retrogamerbear, I found what seemed to be fairly standard and decided I was either too picky or it just wan't for me. I would loved to have seen Depeche Mode....I've never seen them live. I've got Strange Love going through my head right now....

While I didn't care a great deal for Madonna, I certainly enjoyed the company. :)

Sure was nice to get to meet you, handsome. Your Day 1 summary was pretty much spot on with my own feelings. Franz were my highlight of the fest I think. DM were enjoyable but that mostly had to do with watching 'em from 20 yards off the stage with Martin and Mikey. And yes, checking the last bit of Daft Punk would have been a good call. I'm not a huge fan but their stage show was mighty.

I dug on Oakenfold but I'm not super dance music savvy and i really was enjoying the company more than anything else. Scissor Sisters can do almost no wrong for me and their new songs hold promise of some maturity and growth (well, as much maturity as a party band can have).

Oh yeah, next time leave the calf sun screen application to me... more than happy to help out.

Thank you for the shirt. I love it! Glad to hear you had a great time. Still wish I could have made it. But hey, it gave you two a chance to do a road trip and spend four days straight together (love is in the air . . la la la la la la la la la). Anyway, Thanks again.

You're more than welcome. But, if you continue to sing, I'm going to have to take it back.
