I'm curious as to when you project to have broken even. When I did the figures last time, it appeared to be 10+ years at the best.

We're looking at about 10 years, at the current rates, with panels purchased over 12 months ago, generation suffering a bit from sub-optimal roof angle and tree shading.

For us it was really more about shifting the expense than saving over-all. 12 months ago we were both employed full time and could afford the panels. For the next few years we're expecting mostly one income and will want to keep the bills as low as possible.
