I seem to have fallen behind in updates again, it happens when work is busy. After spending all day on the computer, coming home to more of the same is very unappealing.

- a neat trick for getting out of a mobile phone contract is to switch the phone to a pre-paid scheme (no penalty there from Carrier A) and then you can port that number to Carrier B, then switch to a plan. Or so I've read ...

My attitude is that any offer from Telstra is an offer I can refuse, because it's from Telstra.

Also, watch your electricity usage very carefully. I've read, and heard from individuals, that it's common for electricity prices to be much higher for those with solar. In that case, if they are charging you at the high rate while you don't have a bi-directional meter, you could get an astronomical power bill.
