Mac woes

I noticed this morning that my mouse wasn't working.  Strangely, it acted like a stuck mouse button.  After a bit of troubleshooting, it appeared that the built-in button below the trackpad on my Macbook Pro was stuck, but I couldn't figure out why

As well you know: doesn't matter who makes your box, Lithiums can be a real pain.
