The Real Tragedy of UK Racism, the Real Danger of Racial Profiling - Man shot in London was Brazilian ----------------------------------- A man shot dead by racial profiling London police hunting the bombers behind Thursday's London attacks was unconnected to the incidents, police have confirmed. He just looked dark skinned. The man, who died at Stockwell Tube on Friday, has been named by police as Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes, 27.
"We are now satisfied that he was not connected with the incidents of Thursday 21st July 2005.
"For somebody to lose their life in such circumstances is a tragedy and one that the Metropolitan Police Service regrets."
Nevertheless, the unapologetic Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London, said: "The police acted to do what they believed *necessary* to protect the lives of the public. --------------------------------------
Is this the freedom and equality the UK are imposing in Iraq? It must be - cause the innocent Iraqis are killed like wild pigs.
Western Christian Culture of Denial

Politically motivated allegations of China’s religious freedom are abundant in the west, promoting westerners like you to “visit churches” in China. The western logic is actually quite simplistic. Since China is considered an evil communistic nation, they must persecute the Christians. As a disguise, the Christian west claims they are also concerned about the freedom of the Muslims or other cults - like the FaLunGong.
However, if you look at the Chinese society, the Muslims are welcomed and deeply integrated into the Chinese society. For example, the only difference between Hui and Han Chinese is Islamic faith; otherwise the two groups are culturally and genetically identical. In sharp contrast, let’s look at the western societies. Muslims are clearly segregated into ghettos, discriminated and harassed today; needless to mention the fierce clashes historically. The western reporters and activists are biased politically and religiously.

As for the above, I think the facts on the ground differ. As I recall several dozens of muslim Hui were killed in the fall of 2004. The interviews with the local residents led one to believe that the Han and the Hui lived separate lives, living next to each other but rarely interminlging socially, for business, and largely educated in different schools (oweing to their different residential locations in villages). That is hardly welcomed and deeply integrated into Chinese society.
While Western reporters are often biased-how many positive China stories make it to the world press-that debateable point does not overcome the obvious discrimination muslims have in Xinjiang and other areas of China. Or perhaps the Muslims are equal, equally shunned, taunted, ignored, arrested, tortured, and imprisoned without due process like the majority Han's poor underclass! In that sense the Hui are deeply integrated...

You are obviously indoctrinated by your media and your hateful Christian church that the Muslims are shunned, taunted, ignored, arrested, tortured, and imprisoned. Well, that is very true a picture for Western Europe, especially the UK; where innocent Muslim-looking man are publicly executed in the street.
However, please refrain from extrapolate others by your own behavior. There is a strong affinity between the Hui and Han. Islamic Hui are widely perceived by Han as honest and clean.
You understanding of China is severely hampered by your poor Chinese and your childhood indoctrination. These make your criticism of China ludicrous to say the best.

What are you talking about? I personally never visited any churches in China. Muslim areas of the country are among the poorest as far as I know. I've never come across any signs whatsoever that their political and religious freedoms are any less curtailed than those of anyone else in China, yourself included.
As for your repeated insistence that ordinary Westerners and commentators on China are Christians, you really are displaying a breathtaking ignorance of the world, which makes me assume that you haven't left your room on a New York campus since you got there! Why don't you start you own blog to tell the "truth" about China - now you're out of the country you can finally express your own opinions, can't you?!? Or do you really honestly think that the opinions you express could be called your own?
