Dec 31, 2010 14:32

Okay, so I've spent the last couple of weeks researching and compiling new songs by some of my favourite bands, and re-discovering others. For example, Doves - who made it in at 35 with their song from 2005 "Black and White Town" have this year released an album with their best work, of which this song was in. So yes, not exactly 2010, which is why ( Read more... )

Always wanted to listen to The Doves but always had no time. I think now definitely will :)

Maroon 5 - "How"
I saw their 'Misery ' video and ehhm didn't like it at all. Decided to not listen to the other songs..

Arcade Fire - "Ready to Start"
This one is my favourite, too

It's impossible to not fall in love with Foals :) Their album is one of the greatest this year I'm sure. So much more emotional and intimate than Antidotes. And the lyrics has changed a lot. Oh, Yanis's voice! He is singing now and I love that :)
Can talk about them for hours :D

30 Seconds to Mars - "Kings and Queens"
Did you really liked it ? )
I used to be their biggest fun :D But 'This is War' is poor comparing to the previous albums I think... Music is just like music in Sims :D Well, I didn't like it

Mumford & Sons were amazing this year. Best new band definitely!

Haven't heard nearly a half of the songs in your list. I know now what I'm gonna do on holidays :D

Doves are great! "Kingdom of Rust" is my favourite from them :)

Maroon 5 - that's the only song I like off their new album. The others are all over-produced and they've lost the natural sound they had in "Songs About Jane".

Arcade Fire are pure genius - missed their tour!

I found "The Man Who Told Everthing" on my computer marked with ♥ Have no idea how it happened and don't rememeber when I did it :D
What's your favourite album ? Or which one should I start with ?

Btw, I'm absolutely in love with Stornoway! TY for this :)

There's an amazing video for that on youtube, using footage from history. A teacher showed it to me - now I watch it all the time :)

I think it's a tough choice between the "Kingdom of Rust" album or the "Last Broadcast" album, I really couldn't say which I prefered out of the two, but I'm a big fan of most of their music!

I only found Stornoway for myself about a month ago - glad you like them! :D
