That was a pinstripe kilt he'd had made, but never wore because it made him look like one of the women off Dynasty (which he demonstrated with a funny walk!)

Flash doesn't usually help in this kind of event ..adjusting the iso and pic size helps reduce graininess but depends on your camera I guess.
