Oooh, thanks for the info on This American Life. I've downloaded the mp3 and can't wait to listen.

She'd just rather get up on a bar and dance to “Bad Bad Leroy Brown” and earn some money, have a good time, and meet interesting people her own age.

I know! I nearly did a spit take when I heard him say that. Hee.

I hope you enjoy the TAL. The first act is a story of frustration, so you might skip that, and the third act is kind of sad, but I think he mixes in enough humor and just human experience that it's really worth a listen.

OK, I can guess about the pre-ground coffee. Which reminds me of something worse I read once about the process of making rum. I'll still drink it, but I'm a little leery of the stuff from Jamaica.

It made me think more seriously about grinding my own, let me tell you! I'm hoping the roasted-grain substitute I've been drinking since my tummy went wonky is a little better, but who knows? *g*
