And Harry here is only qualified to work on sailors.

When you see this line on your flist, quote something from Doctor Who.

Okay, companions. I couldn't choose.

Harry: Steady on, old girl, steady on.
Sarah: [weakly] Harry . . .
Harry: Yes, I'm here, I'm here.
Sarah: Call me "old girl" again, and I'll spit in your eye.
Four: Welcome back, Sarah Jane!

Seven: I don't suppose you've completely ( Read more... )

I love the Ace/Seven quote. What episode is that from? I am woefully ignorant on Seventh Doctor canon.

It's from "Silver Nemesis," which is a pretty woah! (and possibly WTF?) story, at least that's how I remember feeling. It's got some great Ace. :)

You will never go wrong watching Seven and Ace serials! Even "Happiness Patrol." *g*

I actually have "Remembrance of the Daleks," I just haven't watched it yet. *moves it to the top of the pile*

(The only Seven I've seen is, predictably, "Survival.")

Heh, that *would* come up in a Master-themed watching, wouldn't it? Excellent.

Remembrance of the Daleks has some especially memorable Ace bits.

I love that Ace/Seven quote- that's from the Dalek episode, right?

Harry and Sarah Jane were very cute together

It's from "Silver Nemesis" actually, though, I could picture it happening at the beginning of Remembrance of the Daleks, too.

Harry and SJ really were cute together. I loved the teasing.

really? I could have sworn there was almost the same exchange in Remembrance of the Daleks. *shrugs* Gotta love Seven and Ace for that sort of thing though

Looked it up, in Remembrance of the Daleks he does say "Ace, hand me some of that Nitro-9 you're not carrying." So actually, yeah! Good memory. :)

Glad you have something to entertain you during marking :) The quotes are fantastic. Gotta love Ace!

Ace won me over in a snap. Hard not to love her!

I get to knit and do fun stuff while the first group of students are taking their tests, but then (if I'm being disciplined) I have to mark the first set of papers while the second group are taking their tests. Then at home I have to mark the second set - but at home I can have on a familiar DVD or a radio program if it's not too distracting. So that's nice. :) (Though in the afternoon class I was feeling ill. And you *can't* leave while they're in an exam. Ugh!) ...and I babble.

I love that icon of Donna.

I know I've seen posts--probably from you--that give a good overview of Doctor Who eps from years back. I should look it up again. Ace seems pretty cool.

Squee. Ahem. Here's mine - scroll down for the Seven section. :) Okay, so I say "just watch them all" but if you want to start with just one or two, "Remembrance of the Daleks" and "The Curse of Fenric" would be the best, IMO.

Ace is just - I hadn't heard anything about her when I started watching, and I was instantly won over. This was while Rose was still on the show and I couldn't decide who I liked better, Ace or Rose. (But of course, I don't have to decide. I can love them both. *g*)
