Good things from this week, in chronological order:

  1. Watching a British WWII vet describe the moment he saw the cliffs of Dover after being evacuating from Dunkirk in the little ships. He said after the chaos and death across the channel, it was so peaceful, and they wept, and he kissed the ground. His old voice as he told the story was a rough, ( Read more... )

I KNOW. It's one thing for a woman to do it (I've had people think I was about 12 and ask me what grade I'm in, because of the teddy bear I think) but a big grown man like JB... ::love::

You rock!

AMEN. My "More Teddy Bears, Fewer Mean People" campaign didn't get very far off the ground, but it's still in my hear. :)

You're welcome! Gotta share the John love, after all. Especially when there are puppies and stuffed animals involved.

I think you'll apreciate this one.... I work part-time at this used CD place. We have (correction -- HAD) a cast soundtrack of Grease starring one John Barrowman. I had to triple check it and look at the pictures inside the booklet to make sure it was the one and only Cap'n Jack!! :)

(I'm at work now, just checked, and found out its been sold!!! Blast!!!!)

Oh, hee! Grease. I can definitely picture a young John Barrowman in that. What a fun find!

Oh, I love those Heaven & Hell travel columns, but I hadn't seen the Barrowman one yet, yay! And yes, the new puppy just kills me.

And while you're not the John Simm fanatic I am, there's still a lot to love about this doggy vid where he's doing the voice-over.

Aaaaah! That video is precious. A very happy thing. I was afraid it was going to be like the one David Duchovny narrates that makes me cry every time.

(And John Simm's accent is different! I'm not accustomed enough to his voice quality itself that I would have recognized him.)

Eee, now I've been led to John Simm on CBeebies bedtime stories. Awwwww. And he approaches it so differently from John Barrowman. Of course! :)

Oh, John Simm's CBeebies bedtime stories are lovely. His voice can be incredibly addictive. It's too bad you're not more familiar with Life on Mars, because Simm's bedtime stories could lead you to Philip Glenister's CBeebies bedtime stories, and I can't watch Phil's without expecting a long string of profanity to erupt from his mouth at any moment.

If I showed you my John Simm and LoM playlists on YouTube they would scare you, they really would.
