Now that it's October, I'll start pimping: Oct. 27 is Theodore Roosevelt's birthday and therefore (by allthatjazmyne's mom's genius estimation) the perfect time to have a Teddy Bear Party! I'm looking forward to it! I hope it doesn't rain, though it could be fun figuring out how to dress up a bear in rain gear. :)

It really came out of RustyNiece's love for clue hunts. If she can't convince me to make one for her, she'll make one herself (and conscript me) and force someone else in the house to follow it.

Hmm, I wonder if I could interest her in Harriet the Spy now...

Isn't that image sad and perfect? I fell in love when I saw it. It's even sadder when you know it's a child's toy found during the cleanup after a flood in England.
