"Alec, the Boob Tube is too loud." (TV)

The insurance thing is worked out. It was a two-hour pain in the ath to finally get an answer, but it turns out my online broker was mistaken in thinking my policy was cancelled. Nice. Also, the insurance company must have their phone line based in Ulaanbaatar or something, because I had 40 minutes on my first phone card and it ran out in ten. I * ( Read more... )

Oh my Lord, Studio 60 was painful this week. If it keeps getting worse at the same rate, it should be unwatchable about ten minutes in during the fourth episode.

I just hope my desperate hope/loyalty thing hasn't kicked in if that happens. Heh.

On the bright side, Dan and Casey have no pants.

Dan and Casey's pantslessness always cheers me up.

I have been watching way too much TV lately....I think it goes in phases...my latest experiment is Heroes - the court is still out.

It goes in phases for me, too. When I get avoidy, I usually plunge into just one show and the others pile up and I get... wel, years behind.

I haven't made a decision about Heroes yet, either. Though I can say that I don't need much motivation right now to drop something. I want to simplify!

The thing is that while I actually share some of those views, that's not what I watch a TV show for.

Precisely! I get my news and politics from other sources. On my TV, I want good quality entertainment. I don't mind if there's a political slant sometimes, but I've found it's so much more effective if it's used sparingly.

I think Lina's accent is a choice the actress made to make Lina sound more spacey and innocent. She sounds almost like the lost Tilley sister. I've seen her in other roles and her voice was much more normal.

Did you see my dreams about dating Jason Segel earlier this week? Directly influenced by Marshall seducing Lily with his calves.

I was afraid of that. (It was that, the hearing impaired thing, or the actress was slightly retarded.) It's going to take some getting used to. I'm having a hard time with it right now. I want to like her! I think. *g*

I commented on your Jason Segel dream. :) Or, well, I said I wouldn't mind having dreams about the CBS Monday night shows, either. After that I commented about Dinah and the little kitten. And I watched HIMYM again after reading about your dream? The calf-seduction scene was somehow even more funny. Hee!

Man, how could I forget about that? I have been so spacey this week. Probably not as much as Lina, however. And I certainly have not changed my voice to reflect it.

Yes, my dreams are like salt. They bring out the flavor, baby!

The naughty note! "I can't believe the guy who wrote this is folding clothes. It's like you're this giant pervert-and then someone I *wouldn't* hang out with." And Stann's Hospital was pretty cute. And the putting 911 on hold.

Studio 60 - preaching to the choir is right. I agree with you, Aaron Sorkin! Now shut up and entertain me. I hope it will find its feet soon. It could. I'm not quitting yet, but it's nice that there's always that DVD option.
