You know, since it's a dog, I think there's a fairly significant chance his dignity wasn't even injured! (Cat: "What dignity?")

True... I did think that but didn't want to be speciesist. Cats have dignity to maintain.

You're right though, there really are some dogs who do value their dignity more. In my speciesist way I think of them as "catlike." *g*
