Cher Ami is one of my heroes! I've had this post on the back burner forever where I rave about the war pigeons. They earned more medals than any other decorated animal!

And that storm trooper photo is SO AWESOME. Thank you! :)

War pigeons are amazing.

I'll reblog all pigeon posts I see from now on, now that I know there's another fan out there!

Pigeon surveillance photography is a real thing! But there is something definitely hilarious about that photo. The look on the pigeon's face, maybe?

And you should definitely start that pigeon Tumblr. I'd follow it. ♥

I don't think I could do any better than The Pigeon Appreciation Society, which I just discovered and am now following. This reminds me I've had LJ pigeonspam in mind for ages, though. :)

Pigeon surveillance photography is a real thing!

So is electronic data delivery by carrier pigeon! Hee. The stuff about early 20th century cameras just made me go "huh?" because of how heavy they must have been. And physics and stuff. (Though I really don't know.) Also, one of the hilarious things about that photo is that I suspect it's a taxidermied pigeon. The eyes are just too comical! And the little vest... *all the hearts*

My dad's philosophy was always that lawns (and gardens, and livestock...) are good for teaching kids to work. *g*

It was a pretty satisfying list for one weekend! And the chili I just ate was satisfying too.

I so need to check in on that on a regular basis. None of my photos are good enough, though. (I'm going through a phase of total lack of confidence.)

Aw. I understand. I don't submit things to things, because I can see all the things that are wrong with my photos when I compare them to other people's. But I've loved your squirrely photos!
