I Netflixed The Secret of Roan Inish and watched it this weekend. (::waves at darkpoole::) It was a movie I always wanted to rent when we went to the video store, but whoever I was with would always want something else, and I just never ended up getting to watch it. And then I guess I forgot for a number of years

Hmmm, I have several of Sayles' films on my "too see" list, and this one sounds good, too. It's awesome that you enjoyed it after having waited so long to see it! Have you seen his "The Brother from Another Planet" starring the fabulous Joe Morton? I think you might like it.

I hadn't heard of "The Brother from Another Planet" until I watched the Roan Inish trailer on the DVD extras and it was in a list of Sayles' films. I will Netflix it, thank you for the recommendation!
