I'm going to do a wolf-naming poll, but at the moment I can't decide which Canadian Prime Minister name to include in the contest. I've narrowed it down to three Prime Ministers, but now I need your help!

Poll

Whoever wins this poll will go into the final with the other (non-Canadian P.M.) names. (ETA - Make your case in comments, sunbrae already has the ( Read more... )

Macdonald, unfortunately, is somewhat associated with hamburgers, so I don't think that will work. And Mackenzie King sounds like a soap opera name or a character in a romance novel. But Wilf--Wilf is awesome. I think any wolf would be proud to be associated with Wilfrid Mott.

That was my concern with Macdonald, too. But he's Scottish, and he has this face and seems like a great PM, so I had to include him. But I fully support the awesomeness of Wilf!

I think Mackenzie King is totally wolfy, plus it has echoes of Sgt. Preston of the Yukon and his dog Yukon King. (My brain is a strange place. Sorry.)

That's not strange! I know a song about Sergeant Preston! :)

Mackenzie is an awesome name for ANYTHING. Plus it'll get that song stuck in your head forever. ("32 down on the Robert Mackenzie!")

Well, it's stuck in my head now! Thanks. *g* (Really. It's so much better than that thing from earlier in the day!)

I bet Ladybug would like the little wolfie to be a king so I'm going with Mackenzie King

King is a good strong name! And easily relatable to a little girl, I agree. :)

See, that's why I didn't go with Wilf. It sounds like a kids' show. Shaun the Sheep! Wilf the Wolf!

Mackenzie is a popular girls name.

That's what I thought. When I hear Mackenzie King, I think of one of the girls on Gossip Girl (although I don't watch that show) or a woman from a romance novel. I don't think of a wolf.

What if it's William Lyon Mackenzie King? :)
