I wanted to mention a term i heard a while back, "Greenscaping", noun, a process of putting up a front of insubstantial but nice looking envirmental awareness actions that are meant to sway public opinion without having to actually be environmentally aware

Yeah the theory that putting grass on the roof of a skyscraper makes up for the concrete that is on the ground. Has nothing to do with the traffic made made by all the people who work under that square patch of green.

My favorite non- realistic term has always been zeroscaping. The idea of using native plants for landscaping. Really popular in desert areas, because native plants grow.... but it looks like you yard is a weed patch.
