Oh God, thank you! I used to live at Broadway and 8th and went into the Strand a lot, and they glared at me too. What the hell? I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me.

Weird! Glad it's not just me. I'm not overly fond of chain stores, but at least no one at B&N makes me feel guilty for being in their store...

And, yeah, not going to happen anyway. Just because someone requests something strange doesn't mean I'm doing it. (Also, we're at work; the locations are much closer than that.)

i thought about that precisely after I hit *post comment*, lol.

I'm going to call the front desk now and see if the room is ready. the concierge suite is stocked with water and diet coke (jane should be thrilled) all day; i'm going to stock our own fridge from it (fingers crossed) after i check in.

*chuckle* I always loved the comment from one of the shepherds that he wanted to get on home, because the sight of all those sheep in steel helmets was gonna put his wife off the drink for life! LOL!
