I saw the Sisters of Mercy last night. It took major effort to leave my apartment and walk the two blocks to Webster Hall for a band I've never seen and barely heard, but I'd bought the ticket months ago and it was expensive. Sisters of Mercy used to be great - they did a fabulous version of Hot Chocolate's "Emma" when I saw them live at the York Rock Festival.
I haven't heard their recent stuff though.
Is Andrew Eldritch still lead singer?

Yep, I caught occasional glimpses of Andrew Eldritch in the rare moments when the fog cleared a bit.

Judging from the crowd's response, they played a mix of old and newer material.

OMG!!!!

You NEVER mentioned you were going to see a Sisters show! Jesus, I'd have come down for that...well, it would have factored into maybe not coming for the shitty comic con, because I'd have been down this last weekend, instead...but I'm getting sort of tangential.

Wow. Seriously, I wonder how this never came up in conversation! Damn, you should have said sumpin'...

Heh. Dude, I don't mention most shows I'm going to. It helps ease the disappointment when no one ever wants to go with me.

Although, I've actually been keeping my own personal calendar in a LJ post (shut up) which is here, and up to date, so you can see if I'm doing anything interesting.
