I know! I was both happy and relieved to see that! The sound quality seems good as well, which is also an encouraging sign. :-)

How very exciting! Do you expect it'll take a long time to wing its way from Britain? I'm assuming you've long ago pre-ordered.

I'm hoping it won't take more than a couple of weeks. I've ordered things from Amazon.co.uk before and the delivery time is usually pretty good. :-) Oh, and, yes, I pre-ordered the DVD weeks ago. *g*

It looks really good, and I like the quirky music too. Am going to order it soon :) (yes I know I should probably have preordered it as well, but it's expensive, and I have lots of stuff going on , but will order it ASAP when things have calmed down a little.

I think the quality of the DVD should be pretty good if the trailer is anything to go by. And I think the theme music works because it sounds Victorian and has a bit of a humorous and light-hearted feel to it.

I'm sure it isn't going anywhere, so you're smart to wait until things have calmed down. It might be more of a treat then. :-) As for the price of the DVD, it's actually gone down from what it was before, though, yes, it's still a bit pricey.

hehe, no it probably isn't going anywhere, but it could get sold out you know... stress...
Yes, I also noticed that the price was less than when I first saw it on Amazon, also , the Pound is really expensive at the moment because of the Norwegian Kroner is worth less at the moment.

You have to tell us more when you get your hands on the DVD! :)

And the music; it reminds me of a march, a real , old, English march, and we play something similar at the moment, even though it was composed by an American.
If you got a moment; check it out, it's called Into the Joy of Spring by James Swearingen. (well not at first, but the latter part is kind of similar to the Stalky music, well at least in my ears ;)

I think you might be thinking of John Philip Sousa. That's who I thought of when I heard the theme.

I really enjoyed "Into the Joy of Spring". I can see what you mean about the latter part of the piece sounding like the Stalky theme. :-)

I'm glad you think the picture and sound quality is good and understand that I'm only mildly keen to get the DVD. In fact, it's been a real struggle to muster any kind of enthusiasm on the subject. *g*

Awww it makes me smile so much to see a young Robert Addie. And that picture quality is fine indeed. Hope it's as awesome as it looks when you get your hands on the DVD at last :)
