Happy New Year (Three Days Later)

Jan 03, 2015 16:18

No, I didn't lose track of time completely or just wake up from a three-day hangover. I'm just posting this entry later than I intended. Originally, I was going to post it shortly after Christmas, but I was busying cleaning my apartment for New Year's Eve, reading fic and Stephen Fry's More Fool Me, and slacking off in general. Then, for a couple ( Read more... )

I was going to say I love your pictures of Cats with Attitude, and then realised that most cats I know have attitude. Still like your photos though ;)

LOL! Yes, I've yet to come across a cat that didn't have attitude. *g* Thanks for looking at my photos. I'm glad you enjoyed them. :-D

I'm glad you're over the mini-migraines; they're nasty.

Your photos of Tuppence and Barnaby are lovely. Tuppence has an amazing tail and Barnaby is just gorgeous, posing beautifully for the camera.

Tablets seem to be addictive gadgets. A friend of mine bought himself one recently and he loves it. He's downloaded lots of apps. I like the TARDIS wallpaper on your tablet.

I agree that the Sherlock glasses are cool. The floo powder yule ornaments are amazing and wonderful! They are so beautifully and professionally made.

It's great that you got some writing done over the holidays. I hope you do submit the short story to the contest. Keep going with your novel; I know you can do it!

Thanks for the interesting update and good photos.

Thank you. :-) Yes, migraines are a pain (literally). I described my latest migraines as being "mini-migraines" because they seemed to go away for a while and then come back. I mean, I often do have migraines that don't last too long (thank Herne) and aren't as painful. However, the migraines that usually come with my cycle last for at least 24 hours (sometimes 48 hours) and can become quite painful. This period has been strange. *g*

Thanks again! I'm sorry I didn't have a picture of Tuppence facing forward, but at least you were able to admire her magnificent tail. :-) It wasn't until I transferred these pictures from my camera to my computer that I realized how much Barnaby had been posing! He really is a little drama queen. Utterly adorable but a drama queen. *g*

Sorry to hear about the migraines - there's nothing to do except sleep once they arrive, is there?

Very much enjoyed reading, and looking at, your Christmas with associated presents and cats.

Also seconding karen9's wishes for the short story AND the novel. Go you, Rusty!Author.

Yeah, pretty much. Well...if it's not a bad migraine, and I take something in time, I can sometimes beat it, but sleep is the only solution for the bad ones.

Oh, thank you! I'm glad it was an enjoyable read! :-D

Ahhh! Thanks again, grondfic! :-D Well, I'm definitely planning to submit the short story to the contest and keep at the novel. Unfortunately, I think the novel is always going to be a struggle, but I'll keep at it. I'm determined to finish it.

Barnaby and Tuppence are both gorgeous. It looks like Barnaby has as much catitude as my Romeo does. ;)

Your new tablet is awesome! *high fives you* I completely understand how easy it is to lose time downloading new apps, THEY ARE ADDICTING.

The Sherlock Holmes glasses are really cool too!

Yay! Go you with the writing! Maybe we will both be more creative this year. :D

And I'm glad you're feeling better!

Oh, thank you (on behalf of their mommy)! As I've seen images of the beautiful Romeo, I think Barnaby would be flattered to know that he shares the same level of catitude. :-)

I actually thought of you when I was writing this post because I was absolutely sure you would understand both the love of the device and the apps addiction. *g*

I'm very happy with them. I think they make a very nice addition to my Sherlockiana Section. :-)

Yay! Go you with the writing! Maybe we will both be more creative this year. :D

Here's hoping! Of course, you seem to have got an early start with your wonderful cover art! May your creativity continue to blossom! :-D

And I'm glad you're feeling better!

Oh, thank you! That's very kind. :-)

I loved the pics of the kitties. They totally own all of you, don't they? LOL Snazzy glasses, as this Sherlock fan squeeed in delight. Also, I like the tablet. We got a new one as a promo, when the SO upgraded his cell. It's so much faster than the old one, loads fics on AO3 more affectively. 'giggles'

Glad that you had such a wonderful holiday. :)

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the pics! :-D And, yes, I'm afraid they do totally own us. *g*

They are really snazzy, aren't they? I'm glad they pleased a fellow Sherlock fan. :-)

You'll be happy to know that my first thought on receiving the tablet was whether I could download fic from AO3. One of the first things I did was find an e-reader app that worked. Happily, it allows me to download AO3 fic quickly and easily. That's absolutely crucial. *g*

Glad that you had such a wonderful holiday. :)

Thank you! I know your own Christmas was really busy, but I hope it was good as well. :-)
