Uncircumcised Gas Nozzles

Ok, like, really. What's the deal with all these uncircumcised gas nozzles at the gas pumps now?? They're so annoying! Maybe I just don't know how to use them correctly, but I've tried everything I can possibly imagine, yet everytime I used them they constantly cut off. Wooooosh--Click! Woooosh--Click! A lot of gas pumps now-a-days have a spill protector, or whatever it's called, on them. It's a black thing that covers the metal part of the nozzle. I think it's just to prevent leaks and spills. It doesn't work.

It probably just needs to be cleaned better. Try pulling it gently back and using soap and water.
