I think the Carter/Richards one got me most - not because they loved, but because they loved with regrets.

That's the one I had the hardest time with, actually. That post on my regular LJ with the INSPIRE ME was about that story, lol.

Each one of these stories was such a self contained piece, evaluating each relationship as an individual even as they tied together on the single theme of want and loss and tragedy. Every one was beautiful and painful and yet such a joy to read. Richards and Carter was by far the saddest, simply because they never allowed themselves to have what they're now losing.
