All right, here's the plan.
With disaster hitting the town every single day it's painfully obvious that Discedo needs some organization. The Police Force can only do so much and it looks like they got their hands full with regrouping as it is. This is why we will be forming a team separate from the Police Force to handle critical situations. This will not effect our day to day duties to any greater extent. You are all free to go about your daily business, as long as you are available in a crisis.
As our numbers grow we will be able to cover more areas, but as of now there are a few that I think we should be focusing on: communicator surveillance, rescue operations and, in the event that a situation similar to the one with Walter should arise, a core attack team.
The communicator surveillance will be the easiest one to pull off, even with our small numbers. One or two from the team will keep an eye out for distress calls as well as keep track of the situation at hand and then report back to the rest of the team, or delegate the task to someone else in the vicinity.
That brings us to the next point: rescue operations. I don't think I need to explain what this entitles. Depending on the severity of the situation we will perform these ourselves or delegate the task to someone else who is capable of doing so.
Given our small numbers, the core attack team is just what it sounds like: the core of the team. If needed, we will be responsible with gathering up volunteers suitable for the situation. As it is now this is unlikely to be something we can handle on our own in more severe situations, but if we as a group are organized enough for any eventual disasters creating a team large enough should take less time and effort than before.
There will be no leaders in this unit. Everyone will know the routines and be able to take on any task within the team. This will eliminate the problem with finding a suitable replacement, should one of us disappear.
Additionally, there will be no regularly scheduled meetings. This is of course open for discussion, but as it is now I see no reason to hold meetings unless necessary. A check up over the communicators from time to time should be enough.
I'd appreciate if we kept this to ourselves until it has been planned out properly. As a matter of fact, I believe that only the ones directly affected by the work of the team should get any details about it. It wouldn't surprise me if those enjoying this state of chaos would work against us if they knew what we are planning.
