In the hopes of freaking out less by means of planning, here are some more potential advisers:

Swansea - WALES! That'll get Quin excited. Anyhow, he studies some of what I want to study in the Italian context, which is at least a little close culturally to Portugal than Germany. (Also, Swansea has a potential adviser if I push my area of study back
