Oh I'm so sorry to hear about this. I've not heard of it before. I'm glad that you can monitor it without drugs, although no gluten sounds like a difficult thing in itself. Lots of people are gluten intolerant thoguh, so I think there is way more alternatives around than there used to be - And a lot of it is probably habit as much as anything.

I am very happy for you to come over and use our oven for baking gluten-free bread! I've not cooked much bread in it, but it's usually pretty reliable for baking. We also have a bread-machine which you could use!

Hope you're settling back in to Sydney ok. It's sometimes tough coming back from a big adventure. xxx

I'm so sorry, but am also glad to hear that your case is at least considered "mild." And glad that there are self-care methods your doctors are recommending. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. For whatever that is worth.

Thank you. Yes i am thankful it is mild. I hear it can change, but probably not dramatically.

I am going to Iceland in September.

I hope you are feeling better. I have considered eating gluten free as well, in hopes of better controlling some autoimmune conditions I have. I haven't officially tried it yet...but I know I should.

Its been about 12 days for me now, and it is hard. I miss bread and gluten free pasta is just not the same (quite sloppy). I also had BBQ sauce with wheat in it...

If you want recommendations - I went all around the country.

i have been wheat free for over 2 years now, mostly gluten free. It is not so difficult when you recognize that it's a matter of life & death (or being really really sick)... I can help in many ways! The thing with GF is that it's bevome trendy which is kinda good cos it means cheaper & more accessible GF stuff for people who truly cannot eat it.

And good thing you caught this early enough... are you thinking of acupuncture or any other holistic treatments?

During the summer I want to talk to you more as you know my PhD dissertation is going to be using your work! <33333

I am so glad you loved Iceland... let's chat soon more personal than on here.

I get acupuncture for my carpel tunnel, but for the ITP, diet management is my number one way to manage at the moment.

I would love any recipes you have, esp filling stuff. I eat meat and eggs, fish, and dairy like cheese and yoghurt (not milk or cream or ice-cream).

Yes please - email anytime, and if you are on chat.. i am often invisible so test the waters with an email first ;)

I really loved Iceland, too! I knew that it would be difficult to meet, we never knew how long we would drive each day. I do hope that we'll meet someday.

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnostic. I hope it will only change for the better once you get used to the dietary changes.

The nature, especially the south eastern part of the country, and how easy it was to see a lot. I also really liked how there was light for so long because if we slept in, we could still do a lot of sight seeing.

I hope we'll be able to meet the next time you come!
