Ah, religion. Such a difficult, touchy topic, I've found. I don't blame you a bit for being confused.

I think religion should represent what you truly believe is true, at the end of the day, which might not necessarily be what you've been raised with, or what you think is the most reasonable, or whatever. Religion is belief, and belief, at its core, cannot be dictated by anything other than your convictions; and convictions can vary drastically from the logic and what other people tell you.

I went to Wikipedia, and I learned that according to the Roman Catholic Church, if the parents of the child choose a person that "belong to another Christian denomination" can't become godparents but are "Christian Witnesses".

Another thing that gets in the way is that I am not planning on getting christened. In Christianity, you have to or at least have "undergone Confirmation," whatever that means...
