I don't tend to do memes that float around the internet. Mostly this is due to the fact that I'm just really contrary and the idea of "following along with the crowd" makes me bristle irrationally (I mean, sometimes the crowd is doing something smart like fleeing a burning building and not doing so just to be contrary... well

1. Next is by far and away the best season of the anime. While the first season started off strong, it fizzled out due to the fact that Copy Rezo is the lamest villain ever. Next, however, gave us Hellmaster Fabrizzo (and when your name is that cool you get away with a lot). Also, it had a brilliant balance of comedy and drama which Try just failed at. Also? It has one of my favorite finales ever what with Lina and Goury talking about their feelings and then getting magical amnesia. Also: it has more Amelia and Prince Phil ( ... )

And you seriously can't get enough of Amelia and her dad. Kindness To All Creatures Kick! Pacifist Crush!
Copy Rezo failed at life, but the first half of the first season is still the greatest thing ever, so far as I'm concerned. Next felt like a load of buildup for very little climax, which had me a little disappointed. Too much filler near the beginning involving throwing Zelgadis off a boat and having everyone dress up in random stupid costumes for my liking. But, to each their own. ;)

And, yeah, the pay-off at the end of Next is a bit of a let-down, but it's just soooooooo much fun I forgive it. Also: Hellmaster Fabrizzo.
I wish I had an awesome name,

1. Roxy stays reformed in large part because she actually values the badly-dressed green guy's approval. She's not sure why.
2. Manservant Neville is secretly Wendy's dad. After his plane disappeared in mysterious and as-of-yet-unexplained circumstances he landed among a primitive tribe and took a lot of psychedelics. During one of his trips he hatched a plant that was sheer elegance in its simplicity, faked an accent, got plastic surgery, and began his plan to take over the world.
3. Pain's River was almost banned by the Geneva Convention, but the Middleman at the time realized that he might be succeeded by a total boyscout and did some behind-the-scenes dealing to keep any mention of the technique out of the treaty. He was helped along by some very (ahem) pointed suggestions from the CotPS who didn't want any word of their secret skills getting out into the rest of the world.
HOW'S THAT?

1. Rico's actually the one who took out Raballo (at Jean's orders, of course). Because that's how Jean would deal with the situation. He's got a dark sort of poetic justice thing going on, even when it's not justice.
2. Triela and Hilshire are by far the most compelling fratello in the series, and despite how quiet he is it's mostly due to Hilshire. He doesn't know what his relationship with his charge is. In every other duo the handler knows what he is and isn't to his other half, but Hilshire not only doesn't know what Triela wants out of things, he doesn't even know what he wants. It is, in many ways, the only place in the series where growing up is explored, and it's really well done ( ... )

Also, good thing I already started this one, huh.
1. Renton and Eureka are lame. Not as characters in and of themselves, but as main characters. Their major flaw is that they don't really do anything new. They're basically cookie-cutter characters in a lot of ways. The archetype of the giant-mecha coming-of-age story. And against a backdrop of mind-blowingly nuanced characters they just pale in comparison. It's not that they're bad at what they are, it's just that we've seen it before and it gets old. They have their moments of course, but when you have people like Ray and Charles who have nothing but moments it's hard to get away with just a few ( ... )
