Your article made me very happy because I'm one of those people who hardly puts media in my shrines, so I feel like your defending me as well. :)

I'm glad you see it as a defense, because that's exactly how I meant it to be read. :)

I honestly don't care how people approach their media sections as long as they don't look down on sites that don't have them. Saying a webmaster is lazy for not providing media when all you're providing is images found online is hypocritical, and that's the point I was trying to make.

There are some points I agree with you on with your article, but seeing as I'm one who like media sections a lot, there were some points I disagreed with.

There are some shrines though that only gather images that are already online for a gallery
For me I find this method convenient if the shrine is for a specific character. I would like to know there's a site that has images of said character only, just so I don't have to sift through the online galleries for them :/. Like, easy access I guess? or maybe I'm lazy LOL

I think people can personalize their media sections by adding a fan soundtrack as well. I tend to think it shows other parts of the webmaster's creativity (since you already have their writing style and layout style).

Oh, that's fine. I don't expect everyone to have the same views I have on everything. If we were all alike we'd be boring, lol.

I on the other hand don't like media as much as you probably do, so it's not one of the things I look for in a shrine. I can see benefits to having media of only a certain character on a shrine, but I think people should also try to come up with their own media, whether they scan stuff they've bought or spend time screen capping episodes or fmvs, you know? You provide your own media on your shrines, so I wasn't referring to you at all.

I'm not about to tell people how to do media though as it's not an issue of me feeling bothered by people who don't put time into their media sections. It's not one of the sections I go to a shrine for. On the other hand though, I don't think webmasters are lazy who choose not to just take media found online either.

I agree. A soundtrack actually sounds like a cool idea...
