OK, I thought, I should write down this info, maybe, just maybe, it would be able to help someone since I was told that stomach cancer looooooves people from Eastern Europe (all our sprats and kolbasa, smoked fish) and Ashkenazi Jews.
I was totally fine, until I started having heartburn. Doctor said use over the counter Prevacid and TUMS, nothing to worry about. Then my back started hurting, I blamed seats on my Prius. Used pillow, did not help, doctor said, well, here are some muscle relaxants for you.
Then came more heartburn and throwing up. Not to worry, said the doctor, you are depressed, here is Zoloft for you.
It all was in January 2013.
August 2013 I scheduled my own appointment with gastroenterologist, gad a CT scan. He sent me to see a surgical oncologist, who flatly told me I have stomach cancer, stage four.
Don't ignore even mild symptoms. If you have heartburn, pain, whatever, don't listen to your therapist. Go and see a gastroenterologist.
I am only 32 and have this now. Well, you can see, TUMS did not work. Now I have no job and go to Johns Hopkins almost every week, covered in medical bills.
Start eating healthy (but, then again, I was. I also exercised daily). You never know. Take care of yourself. Never, never ignore even the smallest symptoms.
PS If you could help, my Paypal is flutebaltimore at comcast.net. I am not begging for financial help, but I would be grateful. I tried to raise some money myself, but I am absolutely bad at it. I hope it is OK to ask here. I am very grateful to all the people at rusam who already helped me, who asked me, if they could help. I am shocked by people's kindness. I am absolutely grateful. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart. Angelina
