The first time I heard about NaNoWriMo I immediately passed it off--thinking, there's no way I can write that many words in just one month!  The most I have ever written was about 75 pages, but that was for a Fanfiction.  I attempted to write a historical fantasy novel once, and probably rewrote it 3 times--but ( Read more... )

Thanks!! I'm probably going to keep WF at my side while I write it, just to keep a continuous flow of inspiration as I write. Thanks for wishing me luck! =)

That sounds like a REALLY awesome novel! I'm so glad you're doing it for NaNo--because that means you have to start writing it soon! :) I hope you update a lot about your progress so we lj people can hear about it :)

Advice for a newbie writer? Well, I'm not that old-hat myself, but I would just say: don't worry if you first draft isn't perfect (that's what revising is for :P), and above all else don't ever give up.

I'm actually doing nano, too. We should be buddies!

Thanks for the advice! Lol, where were you a couple years ago when I started writing my first novel? It was ridiculous how many times I rewrote it because I felt like it wasn't worthy enough or something. Bad mistake, and lesson learned!

Let's totally be buddies on Nano! What's your username? And I'll for sure write about me writing about my novel on livejournal! lol!

I LOVE this idea--it sounds so good! NaNo seems to be inspiring a lot of great ideas this year. :3

And truth be told, I still count myself as a newbie writer: I've been writing fanfic for five, maybe six years now, but original fiction for only about...6 months. So we're totally in the same boat. :p

Haha awesome. Then I'm sure we'll learn a lot from each other! Are you going to do Nano? If so, let's be buddies!

Unfortunately no, as I totally do not have the dedication to pound out 50k in a month. :p
