Got my new apartment in friggin Arlington. $1200/mo... That's like $400 more then the one I'm now living in in Worcester and the apartment is like 30% smaller! I refuse to have roommates so I will be fitting the bill by my lonesome. Bologna sammitches and stir fry diet here we come...

I never quite understood the appeal of being able to say that you live completely on your own... other than maybe being able to do whatever whenever you feel like.

I suppose that's a price for privacy <.<

Personally, I've always lived with roommates when I rented... with the most expensive place I've ever been at being $2k a month, but it was split amongst 5 people so it came out to $400/mo for the each of us. 2 room, 2 bath, kitchen and a living room. Patio, 2 parking spaces and utilities are included... with a staffed office to pester 5 days a week.

That was fun for a while >.> And I guess we were lucky that we got along and there weren't any major personality/life style conflicts.

Alot more money to spend too, without having to foot the bill completely

I'll still have money to spend, just won't have enough to spend all willy-nilly-like. I never got along with roommates in the past. Even when I moved back home when my mom got sick. I wanted to kick her in the gut sometimes. I like it better when I come home from going out and can chill w/ no noise or have a lady friend come over. I also didn't like those days when I was home w/o a lady friend and a roomie is getting busy while I'm stewing that I wasn't. (I was usually playing FFXI or WoW and giving attitude...)

Where is Arlington? I have no clue where that is!

And I tolerated roomates in college, but it got old fast.. I stayed up till like 6am every night, and other roomates would wake up at like 9am.. it meant that no one ever got any sleep! :)

Virginiaaaaaaaaaa, if that is the Arlington he is talking about?

You need to move to midwest, cost of living is wayyy lower. My place is 625 a month, garage included. 24 hr fitness center/spa/sauna. Walking distance of my fav sushi and pool-hall haunts.

Google Turkey! It's on Mass Ave... If you stay on Mass Ave (westward bound)in Boston, you drive 6miles then you're in Arlington!

Don't forget that top ramen is cheap too! That should add some variety to the "I'm broke" diet. :)

I totally understand the whole roommate thing. I have never had roommates and never will. I don't even know if I can tolerate a husband living with me :D

omg... haha! Come to think of it... I'd rather have a wife that had her own place. I think you have something there. I am very picky about where I put things. ._.
