I took four days off from any physical activity after my 18 mile run... it seriously took me that long to stop feeling sore. I am one sore girl today.

My entire body hurts.

My legs... my knees... my back... my butt.... my shoulders.

Running is hard work.

I still feel great. I have never felt better after a long run. I'm telling you, the run/walk method is a miracle. But... I'll let you know how I'm feeling tomorrow before I say anymore.

Awwwwwwwwww damn, it feels good to say that and actually feel confident about it again! I ran 18 freakin miles today! EIGHTEEN! It was one of my best runs thus far, and I feel better right now than I have after a run in a very long time. I am so proud. I ROCK.

Yesterday, it was nice to have the day off with Dave, but it was one of the most awful days I've had in a long time. Never mind, I'm not going to Motion today. Dave is exhausted (I can't blame him) and doesn't want to go and I was only going to go because he was going. Maybe I'll go to Motion tomorrow instead of running... or go there to run... who knows. I added up the number of (running) miles I've put on my shoes since I got them at the beginning of May.

I've come to the realization that training for a marathon isn't just about getting your body in shape, but also about making all kinds of mistakes so that by the time you run the marathon you know exactly what to do and what not to do. From now on for my shorter runs I'm going to record my time on here rather than my miles because I am not sure anymore exactly how far I'm running. I don't have a pedometer that is set correctly... I only did ten miles today, not twelve. I was out of the house pretty early and I went to my old house on Bartlett Avenue first to clean and give my keys back and everything. Went to Motion with Dave this morning... had an easy workout. I worked tonight and now I have four days off. Tomorrow morning I run 12 miles. Hopefully it'll be a good run! I'm going to do it down by the lake, and it's supposed to be beautiful out......
