I am going to be moving.
After I move I will be looking at annual plane tickets of:
2-4 tickets to Seattle
1-2 tickets to Columbus
Plus a few others that will be more intermittent
So... Living in Seattle I just work with Alaska, I really like the people with Alaska, but it isn't really practical. How would you suggest I figure it out?

Seattle will miss you.

The best bet is probably to run several fare comparisons over a period of time, and see who generally has the best deals. It may also depend on which airlines serve Logan International that have useful credit-card promotions that you can use to generate miles.
I'm personally a fan of Delta, as you know. They're not always necessarily the cheapest option, but they've usually treated me well, and they were very convenient when I was in Atlanta.

Can't answer the airline question. We've always pretty much just gone with whatever's cheapest at a given time, via Expedia or whatever.
I've only been to Boston once, for an alt.polycon many years ago. But it actually didn't feel *too* alien to me, like so many places do. There were trees, if not exactly the same mix as here, and there was water. I don't remember about mountains. I can't imagine ever leaving the PNW, but if I had to, I think I could survive in Boston. Which is saying a lot. (smile)
You will be missed, though. Even if I never have actually managed to see you anywhere near as often as I would have liked to.

A lot of people like JetBlue and Virgin America. I've flow JB a few times (mainly DC-Boston and DC-Ft. Lauderdale) and they've been reliable. VA came to my rescue after the above-mentioned cancellation, that's the only time I've flown them. Neither one appears to fly direct from Boston to Seattle though.
