Have you ever had
Iliotibial Band Syndrome, a common cause of outside knee pain in runners?
Here's
my 6 day a week exercise schedule. Do you think I have symptoms of ITBS? What should I do?
I am training intensely for a triathlon, and I run 5 miles each, 3 days a week.
The outside of my right knee keeps hurting when I run, and I worry I'm getting early symptoms of ITBS. The actual knee joint and bone don't hurt.
I will cut down my running distance and intensity until my lateral knee pain goes away. Plus I'm starting to do
this stretch, and I need to do lateral leg raises to strengthen my hip abductors and gluteus medius:
