I didn't realize how bad that last line sounded. ^.^;;
"Absolutely NOT!"
Reid shook the dress enticingly, grinning over the neckline and wiggling his eyebrows. "Come on, Keele. It's not that bad. It'll bring out your eyes."
Keele grabbed the dress and tossed it over his friend's head, cheeks burning, probably bright red. He could hear giggling; Farah and Meredy were probably watching. "Then you wear it. You were blessed with the same color."
Reid yanked it down and threw it onto the bed. "Look, pal. You're the one who screwed up on Whiz last night, remember?" He grabbed fistfuls of his dress and spread the skirt, revealing a fluffy white petticoat. "I've already got a dress, thanks. And if I have to do this, then we're gonna be in it together!"
"I told you gambling was a bad idea." Keele's mouth twitched, and he felt laughter bubbling up despite the humiliation awaiting him. No one at home would ever believe this. "You know..." A snicker escaped before he could swallow it. "Pink is really your color."
Reid's eyes narrowed. "...Alright. I see how it is." He nodded, dropped the skirt, and crossed his arms.
Keele watched his friend warily, marking his place and closing his spellbook. He knew Reid wasn't going to let him get out of it. Farah wasn't going to let him get out of it. Whose idea was this, anyway? When had he agreed to such a stupid bet?
He slid the book onto the the table, and Reid struck, grabbing his arm and yanking him out of the chair. Keele stumbled and tripped on the hem of his robes with an undignified squawk. "What're you--!"
Reid cracked a chilling grin, which was hidden a moment later when he pulled Keele's robe over his head.
"HEY-- Wait--!"
"Out of those clothes, Keele~!" he sang. "They're not gonna wait out there forever!"
