Hmm. Well, primarily, I find it too heavy-handed on issues that I don't agree with. XD There's sort of a subtle "gay men are awesome and stylish but completely de-sexed and lesbians look like men and are the butt of jokes" vibe that I get from it even when it's dealing directly with gay issues and characters. There's absolutely nothing sympathetic about the main character - in fact, most of the main characters are either stale and boring or utterly reprehensible to me. I like Jamie a lot of the time, but sometimes she strikes me as ignorant and shallow - I really dislike the series' treatment of PIV sex as the only kind of real sex and portraying lesbian relationships as ~convenient~ because Jamie can sleep with women and remain a "virgin". I do like Thea, but the treatment of her sister's illness was cringe-worthy; I like Clarice, but the fact that she works in a BDSM club where there is a floor for "she-males" repulses me. Oh, and when I say that the "she-male" thing repulses me I mean that I find that a terribly offensive term that's extremely belittling to transgender people, not that I think trans folk are gross, because I do not.
