Day 03 - A pairing that needs to happen now?
[NOTICE: this category seems to have been hijacked by "SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED". I have no idea who the one turned into the other, but as apparently there's no such category later down the list I'll let the hijacking stand.]
Depends whether we're talking pairings that actually have a chance of happening in canon whatever the weather in Hell or pairings that... don't. Also depends on your definition of "happen" and "now", now I'm thinking of it.
Let's go with Remus/Sirius. Because. Just because. If by 'need to happen' you mean 'needed to be confirmed'. I'm not usually up in arms for canon confirmation. It generally doesn't have any influence whether I like a ship or not. When it's a ship that I think has chances of being confirmed in canon, it's squee time, but it's not something I feel I need to OTP something. (Check the list of pairings I've written.) But in this case and in retrospect it might have been confirmed, you know? I mourn the missed opportunity, though it has zero influence on how much I ship these two.
Or at least the chance for something between them needed to be confirmed, even if nothing actually happened, the Marauders generation being what it is with regards to drama and fulfilling lives. I love me angst and unrequited and these two have always been much more than cute and harmless.
