[Naruto] Arabian Ninjas 4

Nov 10, 2008 22:40

So, AU, Hyuuga-centered, 'Hilal' = 'light of the moon' = Hinata. 'Nejm' = 'star' = Neji. NOW WITH ONE CHARACTER MORE. Say hello to Hanifa. Also, 'okhti' means 'sister'. Written for 31_days.

Previous parts here, here, and here.

Hanifa wouldn't sacrifice bath time with her sister for *anything*. )

au, ch: hanabi, gen, ch: hinata, arabian ninjas, fandom: naruto, fic

aw, sweetness. I love good!Hanabi/Hanifa, she always turns out evil after Rosemary for Remembrance.

I like that Nejm is reliably waiting in the shadows, mentioned only once in the story.

I adore Hanabi. Evil!Hanabi always depresses me, and it annoys me on her behalf. Like there's no way to write Hinata and Neji as meeting with opposition in their clan without Hinata's younger-more-gifted-sister being evil, oh please.

Hanifa's not all that aware of her sister's life, and Nejm doesn't shadow Hilal half as much as Neji does to Hinata in my usual verses, so Hanifa isn't really interested in him. But he's getting to be closer to Hilal, so that's why he's there at all.

I liked writing this part too. I hadn't planned for it, but I glad I had the opportunity to show a little of the sisters' relationship.

Haha, continuing is a commitment-implying word. Let's just say I'll certainly write more snippets. ;)

Awww, Hanabi/Hanifa! SO CUTE. *cuddles her* Yay for sister-love! And yay for more Arabian Ninjas! ♥♥♥

EDIT: Whoops, forgot to add: what does "Hanifa" translate to?

At that point I'd stopped paying any much attention to the translations, I'll admit. But Hanifa means 'true believer', which is interesting since I've always had the idea that she did like her sister.
