Ohhhh... this was just so utterly perfect and I get this incredibly creepy feel from it. I can HEAR Orochimaru saying it to him with that oh so superior and condesendingly amused tone.

*winces* Ouch. That's a bit of a shock for Sasuke--to realize that, in a way, he wasn't "falling behind"--and that he threw away Konoha and Team 7 for a reason that doesn't even seem to be concrete anymore.

Also, the description of Orochimaru's lips elongating was very creepy (in a good way :D). And the part about Sasuke learning to control his reaction--it matches nicely with his reaction in Part II when he sees Naruto (i.e. not much at all :P).

I really liked it. Great job! Also, happy birthday to you! :)

Yeah, isn't it? I wish Kishimoto would tell us how Sasuke felt when he realised that Naruto had the Kyuubi.
